Dakota
Anyone ever have any luck with them? Been hittin' the crappie real hard here lately and saw these in Walmart so I picked up a thing of them. I've just been using minnows, but I'm hoping this will work well too... Dakota
Dakota
Well, I tried them out yesterday without much success...the wind was blowing at like 40+mph and the weather was crappy...couldn't tell for the most part of fish or the waves were messing with my bobber...could tell I was getting some bites from fish though and ended up catching a small bluegill...gonna go back out today since it is a lot nicer than yesterday and truly see how well it works... Dakota
I was reading that I think in In-fisherman panfish issue that they work well with tubes as well. But I'm out of tubes! I need to get more then. My buddy and I were catching a bunch of crappie and bluegill today on regular hooks. He was catching them more with it than I was because I was using up the rest of my minnows before we left to go after some trout. We caught about 25 fish: a bunch of bluegills (including a nice big 7" female), some nice slabs of white and black crappie and a few small perch. We ended up keeping a stringer of 10 fish before we ran out of minnows and went to another lake for rainbows. We had some close calls with some real nice rainbows including a real nice 20 incher but they all got off right at shore. Still, nice to have a good crappie and bluegill dinner!
