onthunt
Need advise. What one would you buy? Leupold RX-1000, RX-1000 TBR, RX-IV or Bushnell Legend, Scout Has anyone used one of these units? Thanks
Prairiepredator
I have the Bushnell scout 1000 arc and I really like it. It has got all sorts of settings that tell you where to aim depening on caliber and bullet type. I have no complaints so far...it has worked very well. Flintlock1776
I have an older, full size Bushnell Yardage Pro 500. It has a rain zip feature. The impressive thing is how long the battery lasts even between seasons. I keep thinking about getting one of the newer and smaller versions but since theses things seem indestructible and useful I have yet to pull the trigger on getting a new one. You sold be fine with either brand, good luck and let us know what you got! P.S. I just went back to look at the current rangefinders at Cabelas; found this: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602006-cat601604-cat601608&id=0078828713419a&navCount=6&podId=0078828&parentId=cat601608&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=2UG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true Then I went looking for some reviews and found this: http://www.bowhuntingmag.com/blog/?p=770 Oh, boy! Now I have another toy for boy item on my wish list. Pretty interesting deal if you were looking for a rangefinder just for your bow and you are in a state where this item would be legal. The Kid
i have the rx-1000 tbr in leupold, all my optics are leupolds just because they have treated me good and helped me out so i stick with them,, There clear and super easy to use light weight and compact I use them for bowhunting as well as deer hunting/varmit hunting. You will like this range finder
Tecumseh
I've got a Bushnell yardage pro 400 that I got several years ago it still works fine.
Jeramie
Leupold makes a good product but for the money I would go with a Bushnell. I’ve had a cheap model for years and it still works very well. Unless you were looking at doing something specific I personally couldn’t justify the extra money.
RangerClay
Bushnell has really good customer service.
wtnhunt
Have a bushnell compact 800, have had no problems with them at all. Don't think you would go wrong with either though.
LifeNRA
Do you wear glasses? If so, make sure you check out which one has the longer eye relief! I do! So I went with Leupold, because to me they were much clearer, and the eye relief was better. My boss just bought the new Leupold RX, man that is small and sweet! Besides the red really shows up better after you hit the button!

branded WVmountaineer
I have a Bushnell 1000 Scout with ARC. Nice little unit. Might want to look at the Chuck Adams model that Bushnell is making, if you bow hunt only you don't need on that goes out to 1000 yards. branded WV
dbHunterNY
Only have a Bushnell Yardage Pro 450 here. I like it for what it is and it's still working as well as when I first got it. If I didn't have a new Nikon coming, I probably would be getting the scout 1000 with arc.
