Tominator
Anywhere along that creek I'd say. I'd get down there and look for sign now before it gets too green.
Rhino
Just from the aerial, I like the northern end of the creek bottom wooded area where it joins the larger wooded area to the north. I also like the area where the creek makes a bend back toward the west. There's a constriction right there for deer that travel through there. Like Chris said now is a real good time to burn some boot leather. Might find some sheds while scouting too.
col3
Thank guys, i plan on getting out soon to check it out, plus il go out once it starts growin and gets nice and green and the deer start coming out on the feild and il be able to see what trails they take to get there. BuckNrut
I second Rhino's suggestion. That's what I saw before reading comments. I also like that THAT locaction is/should be downwind of an inside corner of the larger wooded area. Lots of good reasons to scout that area completely. Good luck! hunterbobb
The best thing to do is try to figure out where the bucks are entering the field to feed . If they are. Set up about 30 yards into the woods from where the bucks are coming in from. Make sure you take into account the prevailing wind dirrection. Try to set up so your scent doesn't blow across the trail you are watching. :gun2:
dbHunterNY
Without knowing anything else I'd say on the west edge of the creek watching the very top right corner of the field. Go as far as you can toward the corner before you cross a trail, then hunt it with a west wind. Also, farther south down along the creek were it's the narrowest point between the creek and field would be good. Usually deer come out into fields from points or corners. If there's a heavy trail parallel with the field edge and creek deer will use this especially if the wind is coming off the field into the woods. If there's a trail not used as much farther toward the creek stay down wind of it. Don't hunt the field edge as trails usually branch off the main one and then into the field in a bunch of spots. You'll be switching your stand location every time a buck takes a different one. I'd come in from Rt 7 with a west wind too. If you can use the creek/bottom to prevent being seen or heard do that, rather than just walk up through. Lower spots you can pop up out and check the field along the way. Hope that helps, but there's no telling what the deer might do.
bucknut
This is where i would start with stand placements.
Ravin R10 man
This is where i would start with stand placements. good choices Bnut... also dont overlook the northern tip of the wooded area that juts out from the south, you may want to hang stands on opposite sides of the crick for wind conditions too
dbHunterNY
This is where i would start with stand placements. That's pretty close to the idea I was trying to get across. Looks good.

Stone Cold
I am a VERY BIG Funnel area hunter! I would much rather have a funnel area than a big block of timber anyday!
