mossyhorn
Well guys Kenobi, my husky, just earned a night in the bed. He caught and torn apart a copperhead yesterday, this year he didnt get bit thank goodness. Dont know where he found it just heard him barking out back and sure enough he had already taken it out. This joker was 25 inches long, and fat as could be. Haven't seen a copperhead like that around a house in a long time. Just hope there isnt anymore thats why I let black snakes live. redkneck
I used to have a little black feist that would jump on them like a mongoose, but now my lab and dachshund just ease up to get a sniff and POP.... lol. Maybe after last weekend the lab will be a little more careful.

dartonman
Black snakes are often known as "king snakes"...they are immune to a poisonous snake, and actually seek out other snakes....good snakes to keep alive...whats cool is a king snake when threatened will puff up, and rattle his tail and mock a rattler to keep people and animals at bay, but they are non poisonous, and great to kill the bad ones.........al
