ruttinbuc
After thousands of pictures my Canon 3S IS has finally quit. Coaxing it to work for the last time yesterday. The other morning I really could have used it when I had 4 jakes fighting in a sunlit fog. It just wouldn't work. Now I am stuck with the choice of upgrading to a bigger better newer model or having this one fixed. My only fear is that they may replace the camera with another. I really like the image the glass on my camera makes. I don't know if a replacement would be the same. It is $150 to repair with a chance it could be more if necessary. It is also at their digression to replace it or repair it with aftermarket parts. Seems like a lot of money for a chance.
Turkeygirl
I'd say if it's going to cost a bit to fix it...Might as well get a new camera...At least you can research and find one youl ike rather than wait and see what you get back... I was looking into getting a camcorder that does both. The trouble is the attachment you get to a certain piece of equipment. Maybe it is time to upgrade. wtnhunt
Probably time to upgrade Mike. Stinks yours took a dump on you. Don't know about the new camcorders performance as a camera if they would do what you would expect out of them, certainly something worth researching.
