Doc
I would really like to put a scope on my Model 94 Win 30-30. Of course the problem is that it is a top-eject lever action which would throw the ejected cartridge right into any scope that would be on the gun. Has anybody ever seen an acceptable solution to this problem, or is that gun just destined to never have a scope on it? Doc
doubleA
My first deer rifle was a M94 puchased from JC Pennys. They even had a gunsmith and he used a Weaver side mount to mount a steel tube K4 on it. I would look and see if Weaver still offers one, if not I think B-Square might. Strut10
Something else to consider might be a long eye relief scout scope that mounts along the axis of the bore but farther ahead than a conventional scope. Reciever sights are also a popular option to scopes.
terry264
Kwik-Site makes one especially for the top eject mod. 94's, have one and works great. Natchez currently out of stock but someone else may have one in stock. http://www.natchezss.com/Category.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=KS&prodID=KSW94&prodTitle=Kwik-Site 94 Winchester Side Mounts Also, uses existing screw holes, just hang onto the ones you remove in case you take it off or sell it some time. dbHunterNY
The gun I first shot a deer with and started hunting with was a the same lever action with side mounted weaver scope mounts and a Tasco 3-9x30 Pronghorn scope. It works very well and the scope being offset allow to still easily use the open sights and keep a clear field of view.
