Turkeygirl
I went out tonight, heard him gobble...he seems to gobble on the ground and stop when he roosts. Well he was way down towards the swamp tonight again and last gobble I heard from him, he was on the other side...on private property. I hope his hens bring him back to this side and the ridge...I'm wondering why they stayed on the same ridge for a few nights and now are in a diff. spot.... Think I'm going to sleep in till about 7am then go out...Suppose to have rain, all the good fields are on the side I hunt so hopefully they remember the good fields and drag Mr. Gobbler my way.... ruttinbuc
Sounds like a plan Ruth! Stay with it. Be patient. The birds here have been sleeping in a bit too. More action later.

Turkeygirl
Well been raining most of the AM, it's light right now so I'm herei n my camo, guess I'll go out and see if he's in a field somewhere or gobbles. Rest of the week, as long as I don't get called in to work, will be gorgeous, just hope he's hanging on my side of the property!
PotashRLS
You may have to go change things up a bit to coax him. Maybe try a larger flock of decoys if you have them. When it gets later in the season you have to pull out all the stops and be a little unconventional.
String Music
Try a single hen in the laying position at the edge of the field. This is one of my favorite late season strategies. Throw in some soft calling and it can be deadly.
