hangunnr
Re: Handgunner, Encore MZ Pistol I found 60gr by volume of 777 3F under a 240gr XTP in a T/C mag sabot to be the ticket out of my gun. I do clean after every shot when shooting for accuracy. I don't hunt with a fouled gun so I see no point in practicing with one. I would be sure to let the barrel cool down after every shot. It's not gonna get as hot as a centerfire barrel will get but the POI will change if the barrel is allowed to get too warm. I found no noticable difference in choice of primer. They all shot pretty much the same. I'll be looking for a new load this year seeing as my sabot of choice isn't available any longer. I'm leaning towards the 200gr Shockwave if I can get it to group. I just got a set of fiber optic sights for my barrel. If I can get out this weekend I'm curious to see how they look when actually shooting them. Please let us know what load you end up using. hangunnr
Guest Elkslayer54
Re: Handgunner, Encore MZ Pistol First thanks for the info. Second where did you find the fiber optics for thr pistol, the rear is simple but the front seems to be the hard one to find?? Thanks again for the info. hangunnr
Re: Handgunner, Encore MZ Pistol Came across the sights at a local gunshow. If you find a set designed for a Encore .45-70 handgun barrel they should work just fine. hangunnr
