desideriascott
I hunt in New Jersey and was wondering if i should invest in a ground blind for turkey hunting. What kind of blind should i get brand and model.
Goinghuntin
A ground blind can be VERY helpful when turkey hunting. Helps conceal movement, especially when hunting with a bow, and keeps the rain off your head I have the Primos Ground Max Eclipse https://shop.primos.com/pc-1145-136-the-eclipse.aspx Works very well, and sets up fast. Ultimately, I want a Double Bull Dark Horse though https://shop.primos.com/pc-1135-135-dark-horse.aspx Nathan
SE_KSBowhunter
Just like Goinghuntin said, they are extremely helpful with concealment, especially if you are hunting with a bow. I prefer to use Ameristep's hub style blinds. The Brickhouse or they have a new one called the Tom Taker blind, they are reasonably priced and easy to set up/take down. Good luck! RTF
It's mostly all I do hunt from. We bagged 2 turkeys this year from our blind so far. You can watch the videos of the hunts we recorded from the blind.
dbHunterNY
Yea I have them but usually run and gun for turkeys. I've been told they really don't mind them at all though. If you know the turkeys will be there then sure try it out.
fenderhunt4
virtuallly any blind will work. it's amazing how they don't really mind them at all. they don't even need brushed in. what you buy should be based on your preferences in cost, features, and ability to last. a million choices are out there... ladyluck
Once you have the turkeys patterned a blind is a great thing. Especially when you intend to sit for a long period of time, taking a child, taking a lunch, or have a wiggle problem. :-) We have used the Covert, The Primos Max Ground Eclipse and the Double Bull. I have gotten several turkeys out of blinds. Get one! You won't regret it.
