APound
Hi I am new to this forum and was looking for some help. I am looking for suggestions for my first bow. I am looking for something a beginner can use but that I can grow into and have for a while. Due to lack of funds I am going to have to keep this bow for a while. My husband is a huge Mathews fan but I want to purchase a bow that is good for me and not too hard on my pocketbook. I appreciate any insight! Thanks! Turkeygirl
Well the best thing would be to go to some bow shops and handle and shoot the bows that interest you and that are in your draw weight and draw length range. Plenty of good bows out there....Several companies like Mathews, Parker, Hoyt make womens' and youth bows.
APound
Thanks Turkeygirl! I think we are going to visit some shops this weekend to get an idea...I got suggestions on Mathews, Hoyt and Bear from another forum...
dbHunterNY
The two top smaller frame bows for youth/women in my opinion are the Diamond Razor Edge and Mathews Passion. I'd checkout the PSE Chaos, Bear bows, Browning MicroMidas, and Hoyt Trykon also just so you feel and hold them all. Performance wise the Diamond and Mathews bow are better I think. Diamond Archer 01
I agree on the diamond razor edge. I used to shoot the edge which is the older model of it and it was a great starter bow!!
