Leo
Got my plane ticket to Johannesburg RSA booked and hunt dates finalley set yesterday. I will be leaving Aug 19th and returning the 28th. I'm still dizzy with excitement after winning this bowhunting Safari from a hunt drawing I entered! I'm major league pumped!

colorado bob
I've hunted South Africa & I REALLY want to go back. I like the weather, the people, the whole African vacation. The only thing is that long, long plane ride. What animals are you hunting? CB
redkneck
Sounds like a good thing Leo! Hope you have a great time and take some nice animals.

The only thing is that long, long plane ride. What animals are you hunting? CB My primary goal animals are a Nyala and a bushbuck. A warthog and impala is included in the trip. I really want to get an eland too and that's a lot of money to save up between now and then. I'm gonna try though. Might have to beg and borrow. This is a bowhunt Safari only. I was told a couple more bowhunters could join me at a substantially reduced daily fee rate. Nothing changes for me whether someone comes with me or not. I'm not offering this for my own personal benefit. Send me a PM if you are seriously considering going back. This is a very good deal. colorado bob
Leo-----I'm a rifle hunter. I don't even own a bow. I have not shot one in over 40 years. Thanks for the offer. CB

CB I actually own a rifle I would love to take to Africa but there are no rifles allowed on the lands I will be hunting. I had to lay down the bow for a couple years for various reasons. In spite of being rusty now, I will be practiced up enough for this trip.

jbeck
Good luck Leo, You have a great time enjoy this. I'll stay here and keep up with proping up the economy, with attending yard sales and putting money back into the hands of the people. LOL Be safe. I'll stay here and keep up with proping up the economy, with attending yard sales and putting money back into the hands of the people. LOL Be safe. This trip will not be without benefitting those on this side of the Atlantic. $2000 to Delta Airlines for a plane ticket. $200+ on ebay purchases for stuff I'm taking with me. I've got a Doctors appointment next month to insure I'm up to date on immunizations, a full physical and get prescribed travel medications (don't know what that's gonna cost yet). So I'll be helping a Doctor and his staff, a pharmaceutical company and pharmacy. All of this of course is going on my credit card to help one of our struggling banking institutions. It's gonna take a while to pay for this "Free" trip but it will be worth it. I'm still thanking God I can actually go!

colorado bob
Leo---Did you book your plane reservations thru Gracey Travel? I used them back when I went----she got us aisle seats & the upper deck on the 747. Take a couple of paperbacks for that long flight. Don't forget to get up & move around to stretch those legs. Are u flying out of Atlanta? Is your better half going along ? It's a great vacation or as they say over there "holiday".

I used Elaine Porteous with African Odyssey out of Miami Fl. http://www.traveltribe.com/people/African-Odyssey/25318 She saved me about $600 so now I don't have to fly directly out of Atlanta and can take the flight from Savannah to Atlanta. She is the same agent I booked with the first time. She is good. I remember it's a 16-17 hr flight. I'll have sleeping pills
