Lets talk broadheads...

i used to shoot another broadhead that used o-rings, that was a nightmare. they ratted and wouldnt tune easily. so i tried Muzzys on a friends advice. once i figured out how to tune them, they flew awesome. they are priced right, easy to find, easy to replace blades, strong Trocar tip and strong construction. i have shot everything from 85s to 125s and still they just keep grouping great.

i see no needin switching when something works so well.

I've taken stuff with Muzzies, Thunderheads, Montecs, Sidewinders and Stricknines. They all work!

Some broadheads fly better in some setups than others. I sold my Montecs this year not because I don't like them. I do like them. They just aren't flying great on the two dozen arrows I just got. I changed arrows and that changed some things. If they were 125gr versus 100gr they would probably do just fine. The one 125gr Striker I have flies very accurately.

Right now out of the heads I have the most of, the Stricknines and Slicktricks are flying the most accurately on these new arrows. So those heads are what I'm taking to Africa.

I have a Mathews Q2 at 58.5 pounds, 29" draw, and 350gr Gold Tip Monster Buck Hunter arrows. Only really bowhunted one year but I had 85gr NAP Thunderheads. However before the season my daddy found a 3-pack of NAP Spitfires for $18 I believe so I shot them. Shot one doe at about 17 yards. Complete pass-through, good blood trail, and only ran about 50 yards. The proof is in the truck! ;)

I've shot Spitfires over the last 4 years and love them... fly exactly the same as my field points... and make a big hole for great blood trails. Have used them on deer, bear and hogs with great results. I used HellRazors on my elk last year, basically same as the montec except they are sharp right out of the package.
