dartonman
As a treat, I decided to pick my tired wife up from work this morning, and she wanted a breakfast sandwich, and cup of coffee...but was too tired to go to a restaurant, so she wanted to go to Starbucks, as she has put in a ton of hours at the hospital. Well, two medium or "grande" according to the Starbuck girl, and two breakfast sandwiches was just under 17.00 dollars., and to top it off....the food tax in Dekalb Illinois is now 10%. This is the last time I ever spend this type of money for two sandwiches, and two caramel machiattos. Sorry Starbucks....I will no longer darken your driveways. My wife predicts they will close shop in a year with these price hikes......we shall see..al
RangerClay
Starbucks is a HUGE ripoff. I try to avoid that place unless I'm dying of thirst. I get some of the best coffee at gas stations.

gzilla45
That is crazy expensive. Starbucks is one of those places I refuse to step foot into solely because of their prices.

cinch314
I walked over to the Starbucks store we have at our casino because I was going to get a frappacino (or however you spell it) anyways I soon just went to the coke machine because I was not paying $5 for a little small glass bottle full of the stuff even with my employee discount. Hunt or be Hunted
Yes they are a big rip off but man their stuff taste so good But not good enough for me to pay that much...
wtnhunt
I like coffee and drink too much of it, but I have never had a starbucks coffee, not likely I ever will either.
ruttinbuc
Amazing to me how they ever got so popular in the first place at those prices. I remember coming home from the Midwest one time and stopping for a coffee break at a rest stop in Indiana. There was a Burger King and a Starbucks in there. Guess who had the longest line.....yep, Burger King! Almost everyone in front of me just bought a coffee. Has to be a reason for that...$ If you bought a $5 frapoloanything latte everyday before work how much does that come to in a years time. $1460 just for the weekdays..... Add a $3 muffin with that and it comes to ....
PotashRLS
Never been to one of their shops, and now know i never will. I'll second that !!!
JimT
Never liked their coffee. Tastes burnt to me and is way over priced. Had to settle for it at an airport not to long ago. Dumped half of it out. Nasty stuff....
Goinghuntin
Yes they are a big rip off but man their stuff taste so good You sure got that right But I only get Starbucks when the bookstore's coffeehouse is closed. Nathan

Shaun_300
I hate Starbucks! Tim Hortons rules the roost in this area. If you want to open a coffee shop with any other name but Tim Hortons around here, you're as dumb as a fencepost. :D Not too long ago I was in Ottawa doing some shopping with a friend, we decided to get a Starbucks for the ride home, I thought what the heck, I've heard nothing bad about it, may as well try it. Well I don't know what was more scary, the look on my face when they asked for their $5 for a coffee, or the look on my face when I took the first sip. It was NASTY! I'm never going there again. I'll take my 20oz XL Timmy's coffee for $1.72 over that crap anyday.
camoman1
Starbucks is a gold mine!!!! Never had one, never will, dont drink coffee much. BUT... the way they have brainwashed most of the country into spending that much on a cup of burnt water is amazing.......genius marketing. Flintlock1776
I was in the Santa Barbara, CA one and only once as I was visiting some friends and they INSISTED I try Starbucks. When I saw how much they get for even a small cup of regular I balked. They bought a cup for me and insisted I try it. Honestly, there was not compelling or spectacular about it. In a way I was a bit disappointed as if it had been a breakthough I maight have enjoyed it. I did enjoy the money that I did not lay down on the Starbucks experience. Isn't there now a calorie concern with some of their fancier frappa rappar whatever blends?
clrj3514
I've only been maybe half a dozen times but it is rediculous!
Strut10
At our nearest Starbucks, a 20 oz. (straight, no foo-foo added) coffee or decaf is priced within a few odd cents of Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds and Sheetz. FWIW..............Starbucks recently stood up for our 2nd Ammendment rights. Adjam5
FWIW..............Starbucks recently stood up for our 2nd Ammendment rights. Yes they did. They allow legal concealed carry in their stores, where as many stores will not let you bring a legal firearm in the place. I have had Starbucks coffee less than 6 times in my life. Hearing about the Tim Horton's from Shaun and others...I had to try it. Way better and cheaper also. There is a Tim Hortons in Penn Station in NYC. BTW...I also had one of those Cinnamon buns...WOW is all I'll say;).
Strut10
Yes they did. They allow legal concealed carry in their stores, where as many stores will not let you bring a legal firearm in the place. And legal open carry as well.
