texastrophies
Welcome to the forums. No help on those units, but I hope you will stick around and share your stories and results with us. It seems like such a long time until season gets here, and then before you know it, it is time to start packing.
Phredator
Spot, Those tags are good for use in 12 different units, the Flat Tops is a pretty huge area. I live close to the area but have not hunted the Flat Tops. Are your tags either sex or cow tags? How far are you going to be able to hunt from the road and if successful carry your elk back out? That would help narrow it down a bit as far as advice goes.
m gardner
Well seeing you mentioned unit 34 there is one road to access it basically, at Dotsero (there's amother very rough road at Miller Creek). It's high and gets snow by third season and may not be accessible. Get a weather radio. The ranch along Deep Creek has lots of elk and they wander on and off it. The rest of 34 is pretty tough going because of altitude and terrain.

spotnstalk
Yes, the tags are either sex and they are good for 12 units just trying to narrow it down a little. Got maps yesterday. My 16 y.o. son I will be hunting together we hope to hike in 2-3 miles maybe and spike camp. Depending on weather. We will have 3 -4 days to hike around and scout to pick an area to camp. I'll take any advice thanks guys
