hunterbobb
I was thinking about hunting the muzzel loader season in Kentucky this year. I was looking at the Daniel Boone National forest. Is there anyone on here that could help me out with some suggestions on what areas in the forest to start looking at.
rhine16
I'm not from Kentucky, but I've heard that Fort Knox has some good hunting. It's a draw system, and I believe you have to apply in the near future.
Ethan Givan
I am from Kentucky but I dont know much about Daniel Boone National Forest. Ive never been out there I dont think. I do know that it is very rugged down there and that the place is huge. It includes like 20 some counties. You can hunt in the National Forest with just your regular permits and KY hunting license but there are WMAs within the forest that might have different rules on hunting. http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/boone/recreation/hunting.shtml This site has some info. I have no idea what area to look at for hunting just because the place is so massive.
Nut
Wish I could help you out. Even though I was in the Daniel Boone Forest over the weekend I have zero clue on where would be best. I am supposed to go there for the muzzleloader season but it will be with family down near the Cumberland Falls area.
bfletch7441
I hunted there in Whitley and Laurel counties about 6-8 years ago. It was great hunting! Would like to go back some day. I just bought over the counter tags. Ben

BrandonBowling21
I am from Northern Kentucky and the best place to hunt i believe is Pendleton and Bracken Counties there are some monsters there!! Check that out i would not recommend land between the lakes they are over hunted and i know pike county down in ky has some brutes because when i was elk hunting last year they were all over seen more deer than elk! hope this helps!!! ~Brandon
