Bowtech_archer07
Well, my 14 yr old cat got out of the house today. He's an indoor cat and I named him Bullet when we got him because when he was a kitten he would fly around the house like a speeding bullet. I was 8 or 9 when we got him. He has been the only pet I've ever really had all my life. I know it's kinda dumb to get teary eyed over losing a pet, but I think he ran away to pass away alone, like cats often do. This really sucks...

Bowtech_archer07
He's back!!!!! Well, now i'm really gonna sound stupid. LOL Bullet came home through the night and we found him outside whenever we woke up this morning. Don't know where he ran off to or what he got into but he's home!!! Goinghuntin
Wow I'm glad to hear that Bullet came back!!! Losing a pet can be terrible, there is nothing wrong with crying over a pet's death. Nathan
hunterbobb
I was going to write, "Don't give up on old bullet yet." Some times pets just need some time to kick up there heels. I had a dog that was gone for two weeks one time. I thought for sure I had lost him. Then one morning there he was, sitting next to my truck when I came outside. He looked like he had been through ****. Dirty, muddy his coat covered with burrs and hungry enough to eat anything. I was never so happy to see anyone. I cried some major tears of joy that day. I know it sounds cold but I love my dogs more than I love most people. Congrats on getting your friend back.
Turkeygirl
I was going to say "Don't give up, he might return!" Very glad to hear he made it back safely:) And no, not dumb at all to be upset. I had a cat disappear for a couple days over Easter long ago...I think I cried every day, then he showed up! You never can tell with cats. Guest bowhunter56
There is nothing wrong with feeling the way you do. Too bad humans don't give the love and loyalty as a pet does.

Guest outdoorgirl
Glad your cats back....pets give a lot of unconditional love and its normal to cry in a event of a loss of a beloved pet.
