RangerClay
Morning, I need to get a pair of black youth spur straps for my son's birthday. Unfortunately the only place I can find that has them are on back order. If I get a tan colored pair, what type of dye could I use to darken them? I doubt black shoe polish would be enough. What should I use? Thanks Joe
hammerforged
Joe - if you need to dye a pair of tan ones use Fiebings Leather Dye. It is the best there is - stay away from Cobler, it does not go on smooth. I have a person I use for all my leather work and she is very reasonable but she is in New Mexico. What is your time frame?
