Tecumseh
I'm splitting a box of 180 gr bullets with a guy I hunt with to try out of my 300 WSM, has anyone tried them?
m gardner
They aren't the most accurate bullet you'll use but they have always performed flawlessly for me. Here's a very large elk that took one at 375 yards and went 75 yards befor keeling over. It was a 150 grain Grand Slam from a 270 win. Strut10
180 Grand Slams are what I use exclusively in four .300 Win Mags and a .300 Weatherby Mag. All five rifles will group them 1" - 1 1/2" 5 shots at 100 yards and they do not fly apart on deer at close range at .300 Mag velocities. I like 'em a lot. PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Years ago I used speer bullets in a 243 but never got much accuracy with them. They were not the grandslams and when I weighed them there was up to a 5 grain difference in their weight. That sort of turned me on speer. As I said that was many years ago but old habits die hard.
