m gardner
Here's a link to a newscast about pirates on Texas border lakes. And we can't stop this?
Goinghuntin
And that's it? If you go on the Mexico side you're on your own??? Nothing about smashing the Mexican pirates? Nathan
gzilla45
I guess on this lake you need a bow mounted machine gun instead of a trolling motor.
Texan_Til_I_Die
I fish both border lakes - Falcon and Amistad - regularly. In fact I just fished Amistad over the Memorial Day weekend. I have never felt uncomfortable or threatened, even while fishing Mexican waters. As of now, things seem to have calmed down. The so called pirates were actually members of the Zetas who were run out of one of the border towns when the Mexican military moved in. Apparently they tried a little free lance pirating to scrape by until they figured out something a bit more lucrative. There is currently a heavy Border Patrol / Coast Guard / Wildlife Department presence on the water.
