Stone Cold
Dave you just helped my buddy and I out a little. We have never heard of deer packing there cheeks with food. He has been raising a few deer and one of his does is really packing bad. She lost her two babies this year and we hope that it is not from not eating properly. Here is a picture of her with her cheeks packed. I have never seen this before I met her.

Chenango Dave
Stonecold - the one I have a pic of just has a cud of chew on her one side cheek which is normal. Unfortunately the one your buddy has definately has a problem. I took pics a few years ago of a yearling that had the same problem and I'm pretty sure he ended up starving due to not being able to eat. There is a name for it and I can't remember off the top of my head - I know Wooly knows it because he's the one that dug up a bunch of info on it. I wouldn't doubt that is why she lost her young ones. Here's a couple pics of that yearling a few years ago. Hopefully Wooly will chime in and let you know what the disease is called.
