gzilla45
What does everyone think of all the conference realignments going on? I for one hope they don't start going to 16 team conferences as I think that is just too big. As a huge fan of the big 10, I hope they add Nebraska and nobody else. That would make for a 12 team conference that could easily be split into East and West. Go Bucky!
cinch314
I dont understand why they would form a "super conference" in the first place. It is all about money though.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Looks like Nebraska is now in. Don't be surprised if the Big Ten eventually ends up with at least 14 teams.

Chrud
As a huge fan of the big 10, I hope they add Nebraska and nobody else. That would make for a 12 team conference that could easily be split into East and West. Go Bucky! I'm really happy with the addition of Nebraska to the Big Ten. It'll likely split it up into East/West divisions and we'll finally have a conference championship game. If they do go with an East/West split, my guess for the West would be Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern and Nebraska. I really like the Badgers chances to be a contender for the conference every year if that turns out to be the alignment.
c_lou
I am kind of shocked that the Big 10 didn't go after Iowa State. An in-state rivalry would be nice.

texastrophies
Sounds like Texas A&M is going to become a speed team overnight.
gzilla45
I really hope A&M decides to stay in the big 12 as I think that would probably keep the conference together. But it is definitely all about the money and it should be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few weeks.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Looks/sounds like Texas, Texas Tech, Okla. State and Oklahoma are likely to move to the Pac-10 as early as tomorrow. A & M will head to the SEC, and the Mountain West wants Missouri and Kansas. The Big 12 is pretty much done.
Heavy Metal
Been watching this closely as a big UCLA guy. Really glad the Big 12 teams stayed put. I like the addition of Colorado and Utah. Utah now gets a shot to prove they are a BCS contender. Colorado....eh, they've been pretty irrelevant for a while but I've always liked them and they just seem like a good fit for the Pac 10. Nebraska makes sense in the Big 10. All in all, if Notre Dame doesn't join a real conference I will be disappointed. It's time to rip them off momma's tete and make them run with the big dogs. Good 'ol NAVY has been putting the smack down on them for a couple years now. I think the Independents should be dissolved completely. Put Navy and Army in the ACC with BU or maybe the Big East. I think it would be tough for my beloved Navy, but I think they would ultimately benefit recruiting and talent wise in the long run. The triple option would be all the more deadly with bigger, faster and more gifted talent. GO NAVY!!:gunsmilie:
