whitetailhunter32210
Just wondering what people think about these pistols? are they reliable good guns?
hunterbobb
Llama's are what I would call a middle of the road gun. They are not cheap pieces of crap, but they aren't high end high quality pistols either. It is one of those manufactures where nine out of ten guns will work and function perfectly. Then you get number 10 and nothing works right. They are not very valuable so don't pay a lot for it. Somewhere in the $275.00 to $400.00 range would be about right. Fit and finish is not great but they are pretty good looking guns. Pick it up and shake it. If it rattles like a can full of nuts and bolts. Set it down and run away from it. If however, it is nice and tight, you probably have a good gun.
m gardner
One guy I work with likes his Llama better than his Springfield 1911, but some of them are real crap. They don't take a lot of pains building them.
whitetailhunter32210
Ok, i was just wondering. I bought one about two weeks ago at a gun shop for 200 bucks. Upon disassembly i realized it had quite a bite of gunsmithing done to it, so i was a little nervous that i got ripped off. i took it out and shot it. it functioned great on regular ball ammo but it hates hollow points ( which most 1911's ive shot do ). very accurate pistol with a very nice trigger pull. i really like it. Does anyone know where i can get a set of checkerd grips for it? I have been told standard 1911 grips wont fit it.
hunterbobb
I'm not sure, but I think standard 1911 grips will fit it. It might take a bit of hand fitting but it shouldn't be bad. I would take it to the local gun shop and see if the grps they have there fit it. If they do then you just order what ever you want.
