natethebowhunter
When you are aiming at your spot on your target, how do u do it? Do you try to hover the pin on the spot or do you start from underneath it and slowly go up until u hit the spot then release? I was just wondering if there is one way that is better than another or not
Ravin R10 man
you need to find what works for you..I do the exact same thing everytime I shoot..practicing or hunting, I have several steps I go thru before I release with each shot. I always come up from the bottom when shooting bty....make sure you get your form down, and always follow your shot thru. MUDRUNNER
I actually start low and raise till I hit my spot. I do this when hunting because I can find the back of the front leg and go straight up to the heart then release. I practice and shoot league the same way just to stay consistent. A lot of people go top to bottom, but it didn't work that well for me.
Straight Shooter
I come from the bottom up and let the pin settle on the target I am shooting, squeeze the trigger, and follow through. a good follow through is essential for making a good shot. Randy
I pick out a very SMALL spot and I guess you could say I "hover" it. The smaller the spot, the less you will hover. After you release the arrow, keep your bow up and put the pin right back on the spot for 5-10 seconds. It will help you dramatically. Good Luck Nate! Diamond Archer 01
I start from the top of the back and go down until my pin hits the spot I want and then I settle it, release, and get a good follow through.
natethebowhunter
I do the same as straight shooter.. just always have. I try to keep the bow up as if i was still aiming at the dot after the shot.. and it definitely seems to work. Thanks for the input, i was just curious what everybody did. There's several things I do everytime, from my anchor point to my stance, to a loose grip on the bow, and last the pin goes on the target. GWSmith
When you are aiming at your spot on your target, how do u do it? I point the Bow at the target first, then Draw, then the pin hovers on the spot I want the arrow to go while keeping both eyes open.
Tony
i start with my pin slightly above the target, i come to full draw and i relax and allow the pin to float down into the spot i want to hit. when the pin is close to where i want it, i then switch my focus and concentration on the spot i want to hit. i dont pay much attention to the pin once i start the squeeze and keep steady pressure until the bow goes off. if your concentrating on the spot when the bow goes off it will scare the heck out of ya. it all comes down to you doing the same thing each time the same way. clrj3514
Personally I draw back, find target, and go to it whether it's higher or lower.
