ruttinbuc
Once again I went to Lake Ontario to observe for a Pro/Am tournament. This time I took my boat and fished a few days in Oswego. Was hoping to hook up with Tim Andrus at Point Breeze, but once again the schedule was tight. Next time, Tim. I managed to land a fish of a lifetime, catching a 21# Atlantic Salmon yesterday. I'll try to post pictures later. I got a good dose of sunburn to go along with all the fun.

ruttinbuc
Yes Joe, I was pretty close. I actually took the boat to fish Wednesday and Thursday morning, but the big lake was angry at Oswego. I just didn't give it a thought to run up to see Ranger Clay. I left for Point Breeze earlier than I had planned. Getting there and setting up camp, meeting the captain of the boat I was observing for and fishing a bit had the day flash by. Anyway I had only planned to stay an extra day to fish, but the Tuesday weather report was perfect for my little boat on the lake. I was also testing a new product for a guy who developed and is marketing a device for slow speed steering control of jet pump motors. Needless to say it worked great for the conditions. You can see the device in the picture with my big Atlantic. This is a fish of a lifetime...what a fight!
ruttinbuc
I know and he emailed me the pics to prove it. You could told me you were in the area ya know. It was sort of last minute, but you are right I should have let everyone know what my plans were. I 'll be back up there in July as far as I know, Joe sounds like you had a great time Mike :cool2: I had a great time every day but Saturday, Lewis. The ENE winds on the lake produced some 6 to 7 footers and I was crying for my mommy in the cuddy of the boat I was on...All the while with my head in the bucket...well a lot of the time, anyway. I did go out for air only to intensify the hurt. I did mange to sleep through a lot of it. The guys on the boat were amazed that I showed up for the job on Sunday. If you want to play I guess you have to get up after a hit, eh?
Diamond Archer 01
Congrats on the fish. I have fished there a few times and it isn't too far away from me either.
Adjam5
Sweet Trophy Mike! Sounds like you had a heck of a time. Will you be mounting that bad boy?
ruttinbuc
Sweet Trophy Mike! Sounds like you had a heck of a time. Will you be mounting that bad boy? Thanks Anthony! The fish is in a freezer up there. I am going to try and get it done. Might have to auction some stuff off to pay for it. I probably could have stopped and picked up cans along the highway in PA to get a jump on it...What a litterbug state!!
