gzilla45
Does anyone know of any good online muzzleloader part stores? I have a Knight Wolverine 209 and I ran into some trigger problems with it. The assembly completely locked up on me. In not so brililant fashion I decided to try to fix it myself rather than taking it it. This was my first mistake. My second mistake was working on it in an area with low light and carpeting. I managed to lose a couple of small pieces that went flying off of it and now it is completely useless. Basically I'm trying to buy a new trigger assembly but my search hasn't yielded anything yet. I've tried contacting Knight but they only have an e-form you can fill out on their website and I haven't heard anything in a few days. If anyone knows of a good parts supplier, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks Gary
Goinghuntin
I'd give the e-form another day or two and then try calling customer service and asking them. Is the gun still under warranty? If it is then I'm sure they'll cover it. Nathan
gzilla45
My uncle gave me the gun after winning it and there wasn't any paperwork with it so I doubt I could get it covered under warranty. I'm just worried that since Knight is under new ownership that they might not even carry parts for their older model guns. I guess if it ends up being a loss, I'll just have to buy a new one. gzilla45
Well Knight got back to me and they want $90 for the new trigger. I think I'll spend an extra 50 bucks and just get a CVA Wolf.
FrontierGander
good thinkin. But i'd spend a few more bucks and buy the NEW Wolf. Its been totally redesigned and has the finger removable breech plug, new stock design and a super nice trigger.
Goinghuntin
The new Wolf definitely is a sweet gun. Lots of nice features only found on more expensive guns. Well worth the money. Nathan
gzilla45
Thanks for the info guys. I had no idea there was an 'old' and 'new' model.
Goinghuntin
Thanks for the info guys. I had no idea there was an 'old' and 'new' model. CVA completely remade the Wolf just a few months ago I think. Made it much nicer. The Quick Release Breech Plug (QRBP) is very nice, I got that on my Optima. The old model had a breech plug that could only be removed with a tool. I'm pretty sure the new gun is right about the same price as the old. http://www.cva.com/rifles-wolf.php Nathan
FrontierGander
redesigned stock and trigger as well. If you buy the new wolf, they have a deal going where you can buy a compact stock thats adjustable for only $25. Great if you have a young shooter that you can pass the rifle onto later down the road.
