Check out this "interactive" map

So I made an "interactive" map of our hunting lease. I thought I'd share it with you guys in case you may want to do one for your place. It's helpful in showing the place to new or prospective members.

If you make presentations in your work you should check out the website and try it out, very cool! I have done a few sermons with it, and have had a very positive response.

Cool...About a dozen or so years ago I bought a DeLorme topo quad CD for Mississippi and put together a map of our hunting club with the overlay options in the program. There's no way I could put the whole map on here because you couldn't see any detail on the map. Here's part of it though to give you an idea.

Food plots, roads, & creeks (blue) should be obvious. Fields we don't plant are yellow areas.

Stand hunting areas are all numbered. There's about 125 on our club.

Yellow squares are shooting house locations.

Red dots are camp ladder stands.

The "QZ" spots marked are what we call quiet zones. No gas powered vehicles are allowed past those points except to recover deer. Burn boot leather or use electric carts past those points on our interior roads.

To give you an idea of scale, it's about 1 1/4 miles from the QZ spot on the northern side of this part of our map to the field numbered 61. About 1/2 of our fields have names so they're noted on the map. So are the main creeks & interior roads.
