Re: Reels?

Im a Shimano man too!!! Calcutta all the way!!!!

I also love my chronarch. So smooth and so much controll. My buddy just bought the new Shimano reel with the chip in it, think its called a TE. Anyway, we were down in FL, and I threw a Rat L Trap 90 yrds with it. Now, why you need to throw a lure 90 yards...I dont know. But it was a blast.

I heard something about them. $600 reel I believe. From what I've heard, you can imput the distance you want to throw, and the cast towards it. If you wanted to cast 45.7 feet away, just put it in and cast the direction you want it to go.

Funny....you don't see the pros using them. grin.gif I wouldn't mind playing with one for a couple hours though.........just don't drop it in the water. blush.gif

I use a Shimano Sidestab spinning reel. Just bought an ultralight combo tonight for trout fishing....think it's a Shakespeare. Not top-notch, but it'll get the job done. cool.gif

Re: Reels?

My primary night time bass setup is a Pflueger Gold Medalist spinning reel under a 6'6" Ugly Stik. I like that reel alot. No backlash at all, drag works slick, and it is silky smooth. My backup setup is a Shimano on an Ugly Stik, which I am pretty happy with also.
