I'm tired of all the "where did everyone go" threads lately. You Newbs get used to it.

Yep, every summer the Realtree forums slow down. Hey, its summer, we all have much better things to do. Things like building new houses, our children now at home, overtime, gardens, retirement, or just shooting the bow in the backyard now preoccupy our time. As said before, this happens every year. Then about mid August then we all start getting fired up for deer season many old friends come back. Then the chatter begins to pick up.

You know, we don't need controversy here so don't ask for it in threads. Personally I'm getting a little tired of everyone fighting or looking for a fight. The fights have driven off some really good people around here. Then everyone whines, "where did everyone go?"

Now some of you are trying to pick a fight with the good folks at Mossy Oak. Leave them alone. HEY! Here's a novel idea, try starting something fun HERE. If you want controversy watch a soap opera go somewhere else, I'm sure Rosie O'Donnell has her own forum.

Typical for the forums. This time of year it really slows down. Everyone has something going on. About September it gets busy again..

Wow......some people can't see sarcasm if it slapped them in the face. Lighten up Joe, no need to go all "granny attitude" on us . It's not just the fights that have driven folks off either. Some got tired of others wearing their feelings on their finger tips, disagree with them and they cry like little 6 year old girls.

Funny thing about type, you cannot read sarcasm. Needless, we could a little less around here. In sarcasm ridicule or mockery is used harshly, often crudely for destructive purposes. You would be better off without it.

I know right where Joe is coming from. It does get slow in here at this time of year. Not a whole lot to talk about and a lot of us really need to get out more. Myself included. Life has enough drama as it is .

I see nothing wrong with the "where did they go" threads. It shows people care. Everyone needs to get some thicker skin too. If someone says something you dont like, sarcastic or not, get over it and tell them what you think. Dont let your feelings get hurt and leave. Whats worse...people getting into a little heated debate every once in a while and maybe taking something the wrong way, or everyone having to tip-toe around scared to say anything that might upset someone?

Maybe we should have class in here on how to recognize when someone is being a smart@** and when they're serious. Perhaps I'll annotate my posts in the future with * to indicate "tongue in cheek" remarks. As for the good folks that no longer post, the only reason I ever mention them, is in hopes that perhaps someone knows them personally or has a number to call to see how they're doing. I see nothing wrong with that, and I'm not talking about the fact that the place has slowed down in the summer, I'm referring to good folks that haven't posted in months. I also think it's wrong to think that most have left because of some "fight" or "drama". Folks move on for their own reasons, for better or worse. If you can't take a little spirited debate you really shouldn't be posting in open forums in the first place.

I do agree with you Ethan. I just did a thread about where someone went because I was wondering if he got hurt or something and I wanted to know if he was ok.

Amen Ethan....I've been saying what you said for months. There are some real turds here that have moaned and whined enough to the point where the core members of Realtree have left. There is no fun in this place any longer, and if anyone tries to have a little fun they get prosecuted by the "elite" members we have. Realtree is a an eggshell forum now. Tread lightly or prepared to be bashed. If you don't like it leave....as most of those with a sense of humor and fun have. I stay because I am an admin and have 8 years of my life on here. Otherwise I woulda left long ago and don't post much at all these days. We need more members like Corey and Ben. Their type used to make this place what it was.
