redkneck
Mama and a little one were in the middle of the road, then she turned and ran to the edge and picked up another little one (what do you call baby skunks?) in her mouth and started to carry it over. There was a car coming, so nowhere to go. The corolla was especially designed to take out low profiled animals I think. The whole family got rolled. I almost felt bad for them. Anybody ever see skunks carry their young like that? I have seen squirrels do it on occasion.

redkneck
When I was younger I kicked a skunk. I was taking karate at the time and thought a good kick would do the trick (it was charging me!) Didn't turn out so well. I killed the skunk, but not before a good spray to the face. Not only is it stinky, but it actually kinda burns a little. I would not recommend it to anyone.

redkneck
Will a buzzard eat a skunk? Just for the record, IMHO, there is absolutely nothing more putrid than buzzard vomit. The skunk is way down the list. It's the buzzard's only defense (other than the fact it's a nasty buzzard) and if you've ever smelled it, it triggers an instant vomit response in you. I hope to never experience that again.
Tominator
Will a buzzard eat a skunk? They eat the ones I've shot. Shot one in the morning a few years back, and it was stripped down to spine and skull before lunch. :eat:
sskybnd
you were lucky it didnt spray when you hit it, thats one small it will linger for a long time.

There's probably a stimulus package that could put them back on their feet. But then again, with all those femoral artery shots, you guys don't leave much behind up there...
