It sure seems like your trials and tribulations are giving way to a beautiful home, my friend. Keep at it and you will be done before you know it. Looks great.

Still a lot going on on what I talked with you about Chris. That situation is far from resolved.

he's been working really hard, and i get to babysit nicole and allison while he's working on it. FUN! lol :p

Enjoy the time with your sisters Christina(not always easy I know), not too terribly long and you will be off to college and will be missing the time with them. Your help is appreciated, and will be rewarded.;)

Got our insulation in last week. Closed up the gable end in the loft and started hanging sheet rock in the 2 kids rooms. Got to get some more pics sometime.

Heat and air guys finished up the ductwork and should finish up setting up the unit the next day or so.

Looks great!

Its alot of work (I know) but you'll appreciate it much more when its done.

Are you using the new 1 step Sikkens Cetol? We used the Cetol 1 for the first coat...then Cetol 2-3 for the second.

As for the scaffolding...might as well break down and by some. You'll need it more than you think. I got 2 bucks on ebay back when we started to build. I wish I would have gotten at least one more set. When staining the house...I use the 10' scaffolding with a 10' step ladder on top of it on my deck to stain the peak...lol (kids, don't try that at home).

Great pics, I need to know what cabinets your putting in. I would love hickory, but then I love hickory in anything. LOL Good looking place.

Custom cherry color the wife picked out. Cabinet man had to hand tint to get it the color she wanted. Was going to try to stain the beams to match the cabinets, but no way I would ever have gotten them the same so we went with the same color stain that will go on the walls on those beams in the kitchen.

Cetol 1 and 2-3 for the second and third coats. Only other cetol exterior we were aware of was the SRD and the log and siding.

Used the tractor bucket for reaching most of the house for staining.;) Have had to use extension ladders for the gables.

Need a scaffold for the inside hanging the ceiling in the living room, ceilings are almost 18 feet. Was going to just rent two sections of scaffold. Looking at ebay, the 6 ft scaffold sections I am seeing mostly with buy it now are priced significantly higher than I can buy them for from our local lowes store.

Wow! What a beautiful home! I love log/wooden houses. I am mildly addicted to HGTV and love anything having to do with houses, so I am very interested to see what the finished product is going to look like, especially the kitchen! I can't wait until I can design my own in a few years!
