buying off ebay

Check with the manufacturer and see if the warranty is specific to the original owner of the bow. If that's the case buy a new discontinued bow of your choice. Many dealers liquidate on eBay. Get an invoice and keep it and register your bow with the manufacturer if required. You can get some great deals, but check to see what the bow originally sold for. I'd stay away from dealing with private individuals unless their record is pristine and they will accept returns.

Mark said it perfectly. Lots of overstock liquidated on eBay. I saved a 500 bucks from the original retail buying a 2 year old bow that was still unopened in the box. Just deal with reputable folks, and you can get a great deal on new or used ones with some great accessories.

i have done both. i have bought a bow from Ebay and 2 bows from Archerytalk. all the deals deals went very smooth. you must know what you want to pay, about how much the bow is worth and how good the seller is.

i look at there feedback, the amount of deals they have done and im carefull of the deal that sounds to good to be true. if your gong to save a lot of money, then it might be worth it. but if its just 50 or less, i would buy local.

I prefer to use the local shops that have sell of their old inventory, never know when you may need some help, but if I am shopping for a used bow, I use the Archery Talk classifieds, too many horror stories on ebay for me to use that for something that expensive that I use on a daily basis-if their is a bad deal on AT, their Mods are on the original owner with a quickness and authority....

ebay and Archery talk are both perfectly fine to buy off of IF you do the research and make sure you are buying from someone with a good track record. The only thing that keeps me from buying off of ebay is paypal, I have had some trouble with them in the past, mistakes made that were their fault, and both times they told me there was nothing they could do about it so I canceled my account with them.

ive dealt with ebay a few times, but nothin as in buying a bow. i was a little weary about the matter. i just feel like even though i can get a good discount most of the time from buying off ebay, but i always remember i havent seen the product or anything until the arrival date, so i don tkno the quality no matter what words say about something

I been buying some things from Ebay as well. Got a new $240 fly rod for $140! So far, I have been treated great from the sellers I deal with. For me, the seller has to have a 95% or greater feedback.

I have to add my 2 cents, since I just bought a bow off eBay. The seller didn't have much experience, I think 11 positive feedbacks, not sure that the percentage was. But I got a helluva deal on a bow that looks brand new. Pics are up and I'll just say I paid less than $200 for it. If I had received a junk bow, eBay would have taken care of it if the seller refused to send a refund so in my eyes, eBay is the way to go.

Got a HSS vest on the way and a moultrie cam on the way also, great deals on those too. I recommend you do your research before placing a bid, and after doing so, bid away. eBay get's 2 thumbs up from me :clap::clap:

Agree 100%. There are some great deals to be had on ebay. I got my Hoyt for a heck of a price and was in the exact shape the description said. As many folks have said, do your research and read the description very carefully. If you do win an item please make sure and use PAYPAL to pay for your item as they will insure you that the product you buy is in the exact shape the description says its in. If its not, you get ahold of Paypal and they will refund your money and you send your item back to seller. Been using Ebay for years and have been on both sides of the deal. Good luck!

thumbs up for ebay

Ive bought 4-5 bows off of ebay over the years and sold some on ebay.I must say i have not had any problems at all.my latest was a pse i got for $170 bucks that i will be using this season.Just be careful, before you make your bid check their return policy and feedback score, for me they would have to have a feedback score of no less than 98%.Anything you want for archery, ebay is the place to get it cheap.

Thats the great thing about using PayPal to pay for the purchase. Even though you havn't been able to see the product. If the product is not in the exact condition the seller says its in you can file a claim and you will get your money back. Been through that process and had my money back within a couple weeks. Not bad all things considered. To each their own
