Swamphunter
It happens every year... usually in August.. this year its starting in July... As I sit in my chair early this morning, having a cup of coffee, I am listening to a blue jay outside and find my mind drifting to the deer woods while I sit with my bow or rifle in my hands. Even though there is certainly no chill in the air at all, I can almost feel a cool breeze on on my face as I am looking at a beautiful sunrise. I am thinking of the frost on the ground, my Ted Nugent trip and hunting with my buddy Ed. My mind isn't on the pool, or the lawn, or the bunch of little jobs that need to be done around the house.. its on the bow that is resting on my lap. Slash
I'm right there with you. I have the itch and we're still just over 2 months out from opener. Problem here is, Ash and I live on campus and I can't shoot my bow anywhere around here so it stays back home.

Turkeygirl
Believe me, it hit me this past week. Been thinking squirrel season in September....We are hitting the good time with bucks showing up on trail cams - getting a peek at what will be out there.... Rhino
I hear ya Swampy...spent the past 2 mornings enjoying the sunrise off the back porch of our camp with a cup of coffee or 2. Spent 2 afternoons watching daylight turn to dark entertained by deer slipping into some of our summer plots to load up on groceries. Won't be long. Set out the trail cams for the 1st time this year & got a few bow stands ready for the coming season too. Needless to say...getting the itch.
