Jeramie
Hopefully your ground is dry enough to plant. We have had a seriously wet summer so far. We got around another 1" of rain this morning. Its too wet to do anything including cut the yard! I have a 6' tiller for my tractor but would think of using it right now. I would have to put the tractor on Pontoons... wtnhunt
Got about 40 acres to try to cut here sometime when I get the time. Did cut my clover plots for the second time this year last week. We got Christina's 4h plots in late this year, they are getting a nice drink right now.

redkneck
40 ACRES! That's a lot William, glad it's you and not me Are you planting that much, or just keeping it cleared?
wtnhunt
40 ACRES! That's a lot William, glad it's you and not me Are you planting that much, or just keeping it cleared? Mostly pastures up and down the sides of hills and some in in the bottom, just keeping them cleared/mowed. Cows are not keeping up with the pastures they are in so well right now. WHISKEYSWAMP
I recently bought a "new to me" 48" woods brush bull and 58" landpride tiller I plan on putting to work pretty soon... Have about an acre to work up at the ole mans place and another acre to do at one of my hunting spots. Summer is winding down fast, hope to get to it soon... too many other irons in the fire as usual.
Tominator
It's fun, isn't it Tim? Truthfully, I think the food plot thing (in my area at least) is mostly hype. I've dabbled in it over years with clover, brassicas, corn, beans and oats. To be honest, good ol' corn and beans seem to hold and attract the deer most. Tominator
I luv it Chris to me bush hoggin or what ever is like stress relief Got that right. I call it mindless work. Don't have to think at all, just ride a tractor.
dogdoc
I agree---i love just getting on the tractor and mowing. Very relaxing. We have had some great rain this summer. The spring plots are doing awesome and the deer can't keep up with the soybean growth. Should be some nice antlers roaming around this fall. AaronS
I have to agree. I enjoy mowing and plotting as much as the actual hunting.

dbHunterNY
Sounds fun. No plots at my new place yet. I'm still trying to clear some places out. The people that lived there didn't do a thing to 7.5 acres of it, in 13 years. I'm not sure if it's too late, by the time I'm done, to plant winter forage. Next year may be more likely to get something in. I was thinking about trying that Sudden Impact stuff. Could be good I suppose, but then again the standing corn next door is too.
