Prairiepredator
I would like to get a new pair of bino's for this hunting season...preferably 10 power. I have been looking at Nikon, Vortex, and Bushnell specifically. I was just wondering what is a good quality pair of binoculars that are very clear and decent priced. wtnhunt
Think in their price range the nikon monarch's are good binoculars. Have heard really good things about vortex optics and considered getting one of their scopes, but have not personally tried them yet. Of the three you mention nikon would be my first choice. AaronS
I have the Nikon Monarch 10x40 and absolutely love them. They retailed around $299, but I found them on sale for $269.

Randy
Another vote for Nikon!
Texan_Til_I_Die
Out of those listed I'd choose the Nikons, but....if you'll take your time and shop around, you can find a pair of Steiners on sale for the same price as the Nikons. I've ordered several items including some Zeiss binos and a Zeiss scope from the guys at CameralandNY.com. They have by far the best all around prices and are great people to deal with. dbHunterNY
just don't look through Swarovski binos if the rare chance you can afford them exists. those things are sweet. i got a chance to try some the other day. there was definitely a big difference from the others; night and day. Texan_Til_I_Die
True dat. I've got a pair of Swaro's and a pair of Zeiss, and I actually like the Zeiss a little bit better. But I suspect that as a group, the Swaro's are typically better glass.
tedicast
Last year I bought my wife a pair of Vortex Fury's. 10x32...they are midsized binos that are light, bright, and crystal clear. These can be had at Jayhawk optics for $279. These bino's are a great deal. you have to use them to appreciate the brightness and clarity. NEBRbruiser
Leupold Spend the extra little bit and buy a pair of Leupold's! Quality for life.
Switchback29A1
Have to throw Alpen Apex 10x42's in there. I have a zeiss conquest 4.5-14x44 and those bino's keep up in low light almost as well as the zeiss. I love them, and the eye cups are comfortable. Got mine off amazon for something like $230.
