92xj
many have asked for this, none have ever been given it, untill now.... Ground burger applesauce breadcrumbles worcestershire hint of bbq sauce seasoning salt paprika amount of each, I have no idea, just enough to keep the ground burger texture Mix in bowl, let sit for an hour or so, make big fat burgers. Make a couple of big but thing burgers. Laya thin one out, place cheese and jalapenos on it, lay a second one on top and mend the edges. cook to your liking. Its insane! Dawg
I feel blessed to know this. Sounds good Benjamin, I will try it next time I grill some burgers. Just one question tho...........applesauce?
92xj
Yeah, I know, sounds weird, but try it. Dont go over board, just a spool full or two. It does NOT add apple flavor to the burger, it does something else, cant describe.
HUNTINGMAN
My guess woould be that the applesauce helps keep the burgers moist.Sounds like a good idea.

redkneck
Sounds like Matt's meatloaf recipe: http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90808 Never tried the applesauce Ben. I have my own secret recipe that's basically a generous amount of Tony's, chopped onion, Worcestershire, and a nice ground deer mix. May have to try the apple mix someday. Do tell.... I usually throw on a good piece at the end and let it melt all over it. Do you crumble it and mix it in?
Dawg
I use block cheese. Sharp or mild cheddar. I cut small cubes, make an indention in the patty, place the cheese in, cover it and throw it on the grill. It can get a little messy but I like the risk lol. 92xj
Made these burgers last night for a bunch of friends. Once again, they were out of the world. I also, put two packs of bacon in tin foil and threw that on the grill. That was like finding a 50 dollar bill right after you found a 100 dollar bill. Im fat.
