Casey
Had to put down our family pet today, the vet who is a close friend of ours came over to do the job. We got Luke from a friend of my mothers. First thing that Luke done wrong when he was 6months old was he got into the garbage can and knocked it over in the kitchen and he hasn't been at our house more than 30 minutes, already got in trouble. As the years went on, we learned he was gun shy but that was ok, he still retrieved sticks from local rivers and ponds and was really good at catching tennis balls, he now will be catching them in heaven without any worries. In the last year he was going down hill, breathing problems here and there, but always pulled through it. This dog would eat anything you gave him, whatever we gave him it was gone in two seconds. He was a great dog, very loyal and would love us like no other. Probably will replace him with another black lab, but we will never be able to replace him in our hearts. He's truly in a better place, right now I bet he's in heaven sleeping on a concrete cool floor. You will always be missed Luke. We love you so much!! Thanks for reading and letting me open up. Ethan Givan
Sorry to hear that Casey. Ive got a chocolate lab now that is getting up in years and he is the best dog Ive ever had. He is starting to have real problems with hip dysplasia and it probably just a matter of time before the same thing will have to be done. A good dog is truly a man's best friend.
