redkneck
A friend of mine on our VFD just got back from a trip to NC with his wife. They were winding down a switchback when a big bear ran out in front of him on his Harley. It was one of those situations where you had to either punch it or brake hard. He rolled on the throttle but his wife's knee took a direct hit from the bear's head and ended up getting about 12 stitches below the knee. At least he didn't drop it. I would post the pic but don't have bluetooth anymore on my phone.
Shaun_300
Wow! That could have ended in a much worse result! Glad they're ok.
Rhino
1st of all...glad he didn't lay it down. That could have been horrible. Now on a lighter note...I'll bet in her mind he didn't do the right thing...worse is...she'll remind him of that from now on too.
redkneck
She's a pretty tough character, I'm sure he had an earful on the 12 hour ride home. Seems like a freak accident, but I guess up there it's about as common as deer strikes.
Prairiepredator
Could have been a lot worse! Glad they are ok!
Jeramie
That could have been very bad... They were blessed to come out of that in good condition.
Goinghuntin
I'm not an expert in this but I'll bet the Harley wouldn't have held up against the bear very well Glad they're ok. Nathan
