BushWear
We are currently having an inter-office debate about the importance of the orientation of RealTree camoflague. We are a supplier of real tree clothing and have had an item returned which has been found to have the shadows on the APG are at the top of the branches and the light side of the branch at the bottom. There seems to be a split of opinion whether this will make a difference to the functionality of the pattern. I have been told that the patter should be multi-directional but also heard the argument that the shadows being wrong (light on the bottom, dark on the top) that it will affect the functionality of the clothing. Any comments or opinions straight from the ungulates mouth would be very much appreciated. Either that or it could be a interesting new style of hunting, upside down from treestands. Thank you in advance fro your comments, Steve BushWear

92xj
Seriously? Someone really returned an article of clothing because the "shadow was on the wrong side"? Why does it have to be a shadow, why not a branch that was recently rained on for a brief moment, they are darker on the top. Or what about moss or a fungus growing on the top side to get light from the sun. When an animal has the ability to know the meaning of a shadow, what it is and the correct orientation of it, we have way bigger problems than if they are going to spook because the shadow is on the "wrong" side. I really hope you are on the common sense side of the arguement in the office.

92xj
Do you have any more in stock? I might want to buy some. No kidding, is it 75% off since the shadows are on the "wrong" side. If so, I will order a lot of clothing....
Dawg
I looked at one of my shirts that is APHD and it's the same way. The branches are dark on the top and white on the bottom. From what I can tell it's kept me hid pretty good, I had several mule deer walk by me last year up to 25 yards and they never noticed me. Were you hanging from a tree like a bat?
Dawg
Were they walking upside down? Were you hanging from a tree like a bat?By "they" I assume you mean the mule deer, no they weren't. The answer to your other pointless question is no. Edited July 20, 2010 by Dawg

BushWear
There is no joke here. Really, its a genuine complaint. We have accepted the items back, but we done neceserally agree. When we were told that "it was hanging on a tree right now, and i can still see it" we figures its better just to let people be picky. Thanks everyone for the imput, i wouldn't like to think we werew the ones runnign against the grain. Just one of those 'special' customers. Maybe its an excuse for a lot of unsucessful hunts..........
