Jeramie
Remington Released a new shotgun last year dubbed the Remington 887 Nitro-Mag. Its basically the 870 design but has a rubber/ plastic coating to battle rust issues. The 887 Nitro-Mag is chambered to 3 1/2" and from I could see seemed to be a decent shotgun. The gun itself seemed pretty tight with just a little forearm rattle. it does have a choke system. I wouldnt plan on adding a rifled barrel anytime soon because of the angle at the receiver. They may make options in the future but for now youre likely using the barrel supplied. The shotgun has an ambidextrous slide release at the front of the trigger guard. The slide release was a little cumbersome at first but after about 5-6 cycles I had it down and it was no longer an issue. Sighting system is a tru glow system. The gun itself is very light but is suppose to have some really good recoil systems to combat the energy. Only time will tell if this thing is the quality of the old 870. Until then, if anyone is looking for a new pump gun to take into the blind you may give it a look. Around here over the counter they are selling for $330.00 (Black). I did find one that was a dealer demo for $250 and almost bought it because of the price alone. Also Available in Camo/ Waterfowl patterns. Jeramie
They felt pretty good. If I were seriously looking for a new pump I would have to consider it. The 835 is about my favorite pump but that thing is pretty sweet....

gzilla45
I was at Gander last weekend with my buddy they had one of these in the waterfowl print on sale. He ended up buying it and it is quite the gun. We stopped at a field on the way home to shoot it with the 4 shells we found in his truck. I only got one shot but it felt nice. Can't wait to see how it performs in the marsh this fall. I'm an auto-loader guy myself but this is one pump I could see owning.
Dakota
I'm good as far as pumps go...what I need is a semi-auto...maybe an 1100... Nice looking pump, though! Dakota
