muggs
During a recent interview, Wade was asked about the Heat now being the team with a bullseye on their back. He mentioned that they may actually lose a couple games here and there...and then went on to suggest that if that does happen, it will be such a big story in the media "it will be like the World Trade (Center) is coming down again." Wow, I'm just about done with pro sports. I get these aren't a bunch of MIT grad students sitting around outlining their thesis, but you have to have a little sense, right? Edited July 19, 2010 by muggs
rhine16
I'd finally gotten into the NBA the last couple years, at least into the playoffs. With this trade move, I doubt I'll care to watch next year. As for pro sports, I think the MLB is headed in the right direction. Looks like the steroid era is about over. Pitchers are throwing better games and lasting longer, and there seems to be more grit and grind in the players now.

A team that plays in the greater Los Angeles area. No competitive balance, bud. NFL, NHL, and the PGA are the only sports with any parity anymore. I think some of these guys and gals need to be screened before entering, "can't fix stupid" I agree though baseball is starting to come back and coming back stronger than ever. Seems since Strautsberg (SP?) the MLB pitchers are starting to gain their confidence back. You can go out there and pitch against some of these guys and get strikeouts! I've always like D-Wade and Chris Bosh, but the way Lebron handled this whole deal, gave me a bad taste in my mouth for Lebron, I hope he doesn't win a championship at all now. I think we see a Rays vs Braves Series

Casey
I think it'll come down to the STL Cardinals Vs The Red Sox, I feel that the NL has just equal competition as the AL has.
muggs
This is a long shot, but for the sake of fun...I'm calling a Rangers vs. Reds series. Dodgers/Cards vs. Spankees seems more logical though.

doubledrop
I guess if I liked Cleveland in every sport I would have a little anger built up to. bottom line is you have to spend the green to compete with the greatest teams like the lakers and the yankees. one superstar just isnt cutting it these days. it shouldnt have to be that way but it is.
