AaronS
I'd give a mix of winter rye and white clover a try. I've heard the white clover is more shade tolerant than red.
LETMGROW
Shaded plot I have had real good luck with the " Forrested Trail" seed blend from Heartland Wildlife Institute. It is very shade tolerant, it withstands abuse from vehicle traffic well and the clovers are some of the nicest I have ever seen. Very easy to plant and maintain. You can check them out at : www.heartlandwildlifeinstitute.net Lynn
dogdoc
I have had best luck with planting rye grain in shady areas. I've also had success with red clover. Ryegrass does pretty good but is only palatable for a short time so I would stick with the rye grain.
