maddhunter
I know people plant vetch to bail for cattle hay but has anyone planted Purple Vetch for deer? How well did they like it and how well did it grow?
Ethan Givan
Never heard of people planting it for deer. We have quite a bit mixed in our hay fields. I have never seen deer actually eating it. If it were me, I wouldnt plant it because it spreads fairly well and I do not like it for hay. It is hard to get it cure when its real thick and it is easy to clog up the baler or mowing machine if you hit a thick patch.
