rbduck
Three of us went out a few weeks ago for our first gopher shoot of the year. We shot gophers anywhere from 10 yds to over 300yds. Guns used were various makes in 17HMR, .22LR, .22Mag, .223, .22-250, .243, and a 12ga. We shot close to 400 gophers in about six hours off shooting. We only moved about 50 yds all dasy also. Was a great day. Only price was a bucketfull of dead gophers for the land owners barn cats. 92xj
We shot close to 400 gophers in about six hours off shooting. 400, not 40, if so, thats unreal! Do you have pics of all of them, that would be one huge pile! :jaw: 400 gophers in 6 hours is roughly one gopher every 54 seconds for 6 hours straight. rbduck
92xj We could`nt round them all up. Some crawled into their holes while others were pretty well destroyed. A lot were cannibalized as soon as they were shot. Others were shot at long grange. We had double and triple hits, We just waited for them to line up. We had a shoot last year where we did even better. Ron

Adjam5
That many woodchucks you might need a belt fed gun next time:D. Great shooting! I can imagine it was an expensive day ammo wise.
dbHunterNY
I thought the woodchucks were bad around here. Good thing we don't have prairie dogs, they're even worse.
