Just saw the replay and I don't see where he did anything wrong. He is in front and trying to block to win the race. Just wasn't there in time. Last lap looks like hard racing to me.

BTW, I don't like Edwards at all, so that is not part of my opinion.

Agreed. Just good hard racing. If you race hard enough people are going to crash, its that simple. Everyone needs to take a chill pill about Edwards. I dont like him at all, but if you start punishing drivers everytime they make contact with someone, then racing is gonna get really boring really fast. The last thing we need is a bunch of drivers tip-toeing around the track because they are afraid if they throw a block and someone spins, they are in trouble.

It makes for good drama right now, but it would be nice if several more drivers would start driving with a little more attitude like Edwards.

Yep, that's racing. touch a guys bumper and then have him turn around and spin you right into the wall and oncoming traffic running hard to the checkered. What color gloves was he wearing this time? :D

On another note, did anyone notice all the empty seats at Indy? Sign of the times or is Nascar losing a bit of popularity?

Carl did wrong, but i dont think it would have been as big a deal if keselowski wouldnt have been sitting sideways in front of traffic and took the hit he did. But Carl did what he had to to win, and that is what it is all about.

as far as Indy, sign of the time i think, people are not spending money on non-essentials as much right now.

Oh please.... tell me Kaselsuckski wouldnt have done the same thing to win the race.

He did. He bumped Edwards in turn 1. The difference is Brad tried to move Edwards for the win and Edwards intentionally wrecked Brad for the win.

and Brad's daddy needs a big bowl of shut up

LOL! Typical internet racer without a clue.

:surrender: you got me... I dont watch anything I get my info from other forums

You are missing the point (I'm not surprised after you earlier post). An "internet racer" is one that only watches racing and has no first hand experience. Then, they get on internet forums and run their mouth about how it should be. Classic.

Sorry I didnt know I was dealing with a race car driving expert. I guess since I havent ever had any driving expierience I shouldnt have an opinion.

I'm not a driver, rather on a pit crew. So, I have real life experiences seeing nearly identical situations in person.

Your comment, likely coming from someone who gets their racing fix on the couch or in the grandstands rubbed me the wrong way. A few years ago my driver was intentionally spun in front of the field and his car was in one of the worst wrecks I've ever seen in person. To this day I will never forget the look in his father's face when his son's car was flipping through the air, only 50' in front of us. From that point on I will never question a parent that is standing up for their son or daughter at the race track. Most drivers are old enough to fight their own battles. But, they risk their life every time they are on the track. Having another competitor intentionally wreck their child, I can't blame them for saying something and sticking up for their son or daughter.

Your being "Im on a pit crew and I know what Im talking about and you dont rubs me the wrong way. This is why this place isnt fun anymore, when someone has an opinion that someone else dosent like or take offense to it goes to name calling. I Wouldve thought a Moderator wouldnt resort to name calling, and BTW 99% of people with opinions for NASCAR are the ones who get their fix on the couch or in the stands, Your just the other 1% and obviously your are better at being a human being with an opinion than me.

So your seriously gonna knock on the fans of nascar??? If we aren't on a pit crew or drive a race car we should have no right to make a comment on a race? Talk about someones ego floating in the clouds.........

Where did I say that?

I pointed out that KT's comment were typical of what many folks in our local racing community call an "internet racer" (explained earlier). Since I didn't agree with his comment about Brad's dad needing a "bowl of shut up", I thought I'd post my own thoughts.

I've read everything I posted in this thread and can't find where I "claimed to be a NASCAR expert" (although I did use a real life experience to explain my opinion), I didn't knock the 99% of racing fans who don't go on internet forums and I don't see where I said if you don't have experience with a topic that you shouldn't post about it. Not sure how everyone got so fired up about those items.

It's cool though. I apologize to KT for calling him an "internet racer". Not sure I was deserving of what he called me that was edited out, but that is fine. Next time I don't agree with someone I'll just keep my keyboard quiet. I don't want to start any more controversy just because I don't agree with someones comments.

Chrud I don't mind your opinion one bit, but to me your post was very ego filled.

The comment that you have in bold was stated by me because in your message to KT it seemed like you were saying he was ignorant because he watches the race from his television set at home, while your in the pits....therefore his opinion is null to yours....the expert.

If thats not how you meant for your comment to come off, then I too apologize to you, but it seemed that way to me.
