Casey
I think this buck is a mature due to the huge body! I'm thinking 4 1/2 years old. Opinions welcomed! Not much for a score, but I could care less.
rhine16
Looks like a 3.5, but that's just my opinion Casey.
DropTine49
It's hard to tell at that angle, but his back does look to have the sway of an old deer from the picture that you have.
wtnhunt
Age 4.5, not sure from that pic. Mature buck, yes I think so. I would guess he is at least 3.5 though and that makes him a shooter around here. Your deer are a bit farther along than ours are so far this year. WHISKEYSWAMP
looks mature enough for me... don't think I could pass on him.

William, I really would like to pass this buck up and see him next fall, but my guts and brain says he won't get much bigger in the antler department, not that I care, but I'd like to see how much this buck weighs. I'm guessing he's pushing 240 pounds.
Slash
not very good at aging deer yet, but from that angle he looks like a shooter for me, I'm not too picky though...
Bowtech_archer07
Casey, I would have to say he is a 3.5 yr old deer but I would agree that he probably won't gain a lot of antler if you pass him till next year. Most deer show a lot of potential at 3.5 if they are going to jump in the next year or 2 and he doesn't really show that. He does have a big body for this time of year though. By the time hunting season rolls around that deer could be pushing 275 or 300 lbs. :jaw::jaw:
dbHunterNY
I've started getting into aging deer, but I'm not sure how well I'm doing. My opinion is in agreement with some of the others; at least 3.5 yrs old. Beyond that it's hard to tell without more pictures.
Casey
I still think he is 4 1/ 2 maybe going into his 5th year. This buck is a toad.
92xj
2.5 year old, 178lbs, 107 inches. Shoot him, film it, and show me his jaw.

hoosierhunter
It's only one pic. Your gonna need a full side shot to get a better determination on age, but I don't think he's a 200 pound deer from that pic either.

Well said, he's on the move, not a good angle, and with the foot going forward he's pushing his stomach forard and bulging a little. If I were you I would be hoping he's 2.5 sporting a small rack like that.
