McGahee, Andre Johnson, Kellen Winslow, Dorsey, all those LBs...weren't enough to get by the Buckeyes.
Yellowhammer
Oh I've seen Ohio State in the title game....getting blown out and looking like a high school team to Florida and LSU.:argue: You are right. OSU does have a good football program and they have won several bowl games. But when they play a SEC team in a bowl game they seem to choke. The SEC owns the bucks. As for the SEC is nothing, the SEC has won the last three BCS Championship games. 1978 Sugar Bowl: Alabama 35, Ohio State 6 - Woody Hayes 1990 Hall Of Fame Bowl: Auburn 31, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper 1993 Citrus Bowl: Georgia 21, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper 1995 Citrus Bowl: Alabama 24, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper 1996 Citrus Bowl: Tennessee 20, Ohio State 14 - John Cooper 2001 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 24, Ohio State 7 - John Cooper 2002 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 31, Ohio State 28 - Jim Tressel 2007 BCS Championship: Florida 41, Ohio State 14 - Jim Tressel 2008 BCS Championship: LSU 38, Ohio State 24 - Jim Tressel

'78 was near the end of Hayes tenure there, and he was slipping, and letting the program slip. 2002 was the year after they won the National Championship and lost tons of players. 2007 they got worked, 2008 they lost tons of talent and should not have been in that game. They were a good team, top five in the country, but there were more deserving teams. The SEC is a fine conference, it's just not the super conference SEC fans, and ESPN wants to think it is. They're the flavor of the month right now, and when the media decides who goes to the championship game, there's a real good change the media's darling conference will get a team in that game. From there, you have a 50/50 chance at winning, more like a 90/10 chance when Colt McCoy gets hurt. It was the flavor of the month to dog the Big Ten, that is until they had some nice bowl wins...now all of a sudden the Big Ten is good again in ESPN's eyes... It's tiring.
