92xj
No preview for you. . . . . . . . . . . . .How much money (A YEAR) would it take for you to pack up yourself and/or your family and move 1000 miles away? Your answer can not be a group of words unless you spell out the actual number. Example. You can not say, "enough money to support me and my family and have so much left over for play", Answers need to be in the form of "$50,000 a year" Something of that nature. bfletch7441
That's tough because the number would change based on the direction of the 1,000 miles. To play it safe, I'll say $150,000. Ben
NS whitetail
1000 miles , family and all ? .................... no less than $150,000, since it would mean a new school, a new home etc. etc. but I will also add .................. probably nothing or no amount of money will ever make me leave this beautiful place where I live. The_Kat
I got here March 8th and have grossed 63k, so whatever that comes out to yearly is what it would take to move me and my family 1204 miles to PA.
Dawg
$0. I won't do it. Jasper, Texas is where I belong.
RangerClay
As long as my parents are alive. $0 My kids are their ONLY grandkids and I'm not about to take them away. After their death (God forbid) .02 to leave New York.
Gator
NONE Now let me explain. I joined the Army at 18, and literally travelled the world for the next ten years. While in that time I saw alot of different places, I missed out on alot as well. I am done moving, unless something drastic comes down the line. Adjam5
How about I pay you to get me out of NY? Well, If we all left here to go 1000miles away I would not need NYC wages to live. 150k would have me sitting pretty and 100k would make me/us comfortable. Tominator
Depends on which way for the 1000 miles. 1000 miles west is about the only place I'd go, I love Ohio. In answer to your question, $500,000.00 Other than that, I'm not moving.
redkneck
$300,
ckrich
It would depend on which direction I'd be headed... but then again it's just me. So if it's gonna land me in prime hunting/fly fishing ground somebody could get a heck of a deal to get me to move...
mikebohio
come on guys everyone has a price i travel for work so it would be no big deal for me $157,396.
suro25
my roots are planted here in Northern Indiana. No amount of money will take me from this area
Rhino
It's not a money thing for me or I would have already left MS. It's about good, close friends that are there for me anytime I need them. Same goes for me with them. Those kind of friends are priceless.
gzilla45
I'd settle for something around 80-100k. I'm not married and don't have kids so it would be a little easier for me to up and leave. I'd certainly miss my family and friends but I could always hop on a plane.
Texan_Til_I_Die
$250K
m gardner
It depends on the situation. I lost my job (plant relocated to China) and the economy tanked where I lived so we went 2000 miles to western Colorado. Had all we could put in a 10 year old truck and $3500. Best hunting I experienced in my life. Got a good job too from a guy I met in a campground. I've never had any fear though and always loved to wander. God provides. That plant closed and moved overseas and now I'm 700 miles south in Az wondering when the war with Mexico will start. More adventure than an old man is entitled to. Bring it on! Mach1
Nothing. Living close to family is priceless.
wtnhunt
Would depend on the direction. If we were finished with the wife's dream home it would take at least $250,000-300,000 minimum.
bluelund79
While I'm still enlisted, I'll move wherever Uncle Sam says move to. When I retire in 10 years, $75,000 federal job would do it.
Nickel
I took a transfer in my company and moved 800 miles for the same money, but better economy.
Jeramie
$150,000 min. I would still be on the fence at that point. More likely it would be $165,000 before I got serious.

Hoosierbuck
$300K, and even then it has to be North of here, and hopefully West, too. HB
