This past Sunday morning, I got a call that a guy I know pretty well had a massive heart attack and died at the age of 49.

10 years ago, Terry had a hunting accident, he fell out of a treestand. With the power of pray and determination, he survived, he ended up in a wheelchair, but that did not pull him down. He was a fisherman before his accident and he was not sure where to turn, so Terry decided to upgrade his education and finally ended up with a good job at one of the Royal Bank of Canada. Watch this short video that was done about him and his life.

This story gets worse :(. About 3 hours later, I had another call telling me that Terry's brother and his wife were at their camp, they were called and told the news and while they were packing up to come home, Connie suddenly dropped dead from a massive heart attack as well. She was 55. :(

Clayton and Connie live 4 house down the road from me and I have known them all my life.

I as well as 100's of others had to attend 2 funerals within 24 hours. Terry yesterday, Connie today. I cannot imagine how their family is feeling. The community here is still in shock and grieving, these were two of the nicest people that you will ever meet.

Niether of these two had any knowledge of any heart problems.

RIP Terry and Connie , you will both be missed :(

It certainly makes you wonder how it works, Lewis. I am very sorry for your loss. My condolences to friends and family

It sure does Mike, I just watched that video again and like the many times before, my eyes run water. I told my wife yesterday, Terry survived that accident 10 years for a reason, as show in the video, him and his wife took in two foster boys who no one wanted, they fell in love with them and adopted them. Even though Terry is now gone, those two young boys now have a good loving life.

It brought tears here as well, Lewis. People like Terry are an inspiration by making the best of a bad situation. Everyone around him will certainly benefit from his message.

Yesterday at his funeral Mike, one of his co-workers shared some stories, one of them was this.

One day at the bank, things were very busy, a client was standing in line and was getting frustrated from waiting, the client spoke out and said " I am starting to get dam tired of standing in this line"

Terry lifted his head from his teller and replied "I sure wish I could complain about standing"

She said that that client learned a very valuable lesson that day and changed his attidude very quickly.
