Tim-

So lodging and meals would be included means your looking at a outfitted hunt instead of DIY. Tough question. I'd love to do it, but it depends on where your going and the quality of the area. I think the Dakotas or Montana would be a fun place to hunt and offer a decent harvest opportunity for multiple people. For me personally I'd rather go out west and hunt b/c I live here in the midwest and Ill isn't any different from what I have now. This would be a pretty fun deal though to get some guys together in a camp. Please keep me posted on the status of this as I have real interest if your going out West and I know my father would be in too because we just missed the deadline for Wyomning Antelope this year. We had the land secured and everything.

Why not a public land mule deer spot and stalk hunt around Pierre, South Dakota? Since Pierre is the capital, you can buy tags at the GFP office or purchase your tags ahead of time online (archery tags are unlimited). There is a TON of public land along both sides of the Missourri River and maybe we could even get in some good walleye, northern and salmon fishing at Lake Oahe! I guess the only reason I'm saying this is for my own selfish reasons...lol...I'm just really financially strapped right now and this would really be the only way I could make a forum gathering.

The Ramkota in Pierre is really nice and the best hotel in town. Very hunter friendly; they've got mounts up in the hotel, allow dogs in the rooms, will cook your catch or kill for you in the restaurant and have a cleaning station in the back of hotel so you can clean your fish or your pheasants. I'll have to check on nightly rates, but it's an awesome hotel!

Dakota I dont want to have people show up for a hunt that could be ruined or messed up on public land with other hunters on it. I understand the cost part but if they spend a few hundred dollars and run into people everyday it wouldnt be very enjoyable. Having private ground and a house for all of us to stay in and visit Ithink is a better idea. I want to make this trip a special one for all who invest in it. I probably wont hunt at all , but put hunters out and change stands and so on cook etc

Bow , Rhino gun tags are very hard to get in North Dakota. I like the early season all the animals are on a bed to feed pattern but am open to later also they open around the 1st of september

Good idea Tim...Thanks...I would think a September bowhunt like that would be easier for forum members to make plans and still not be concerned about missing out on a preferred time to hunt their own turf.
