Swamphunter
I think you guys should all post a pic or two of your hunting camps... since I still don't have one.. it would be a nice teaser, and give me some ideas!
Rhino
OK Swampy...this will be picture intensive. We spent last year from February through September building our new main hunting camp facility. Here's some external views of the new camp. This is the view from the back porch Here's some views of the great room inside Den area toward porch Kitchen area Dinning room area 5 of us bought this double wide about 10 years ago & it's right across the driveway from the main camp. The skinning shed with walk in cooler is beside it. Here's our back porch where I enjoy a cup of coffee or 2 in the morning. Our view from our back porch. As you can see we have a bow range out the back for 20, 25, & 30 yards and the porch has plenty of elevation for treestand type practice. Now a couple of inside views...den & dining room. Needless to say...I don't miss the comforts of home while at the camp.
Randy
Good idea Ken! Al, I had that same mural on my wall when I was a kid. Awesome! Thanks for the memory!
Rhino
Al, I had that same mural on my wall when I was a kid. Awesome! Thanks for the memory! Cool! The only thing we really don't have at camp is internet service.

wtnhunt
That is really sweet Al. We hunt on our own farm, guess you could say ours is a work in progress Ken. I need to get some more current pics but you can kind of get an idea from this thread http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99662. TBow
Northern Ontario 2009 moose camp. We're hunting on Crown Land, so portability and removeability is a MUST. TBow
Newarcher
Hey Rhino....you forgot pictures of your manicure/pedicure chairs...that's a home not a hunting camp! Hunting camp isn't hunting camp until you look up from eating your Wheaties and see some old man sitting on the toilet! New

Texan_Til_I_Die
Sorry, no inside pics. Nothing fancy, classic depression era architecture. But it has a full bathroom, kitchen, and will sleep 10.
Rhino
Hey Rhino....you forgot pictures of your manicure/pedicure chairs...that's a home not a hunting camp! Hunting camp isn't hunting camp until you look up from eating your Wheaties and see some old man sitting on the toilet! New Well that's happened on occasion when the water pipes froze and when we've had problems with our rural water service. Ahhhhh...but in the early days of my duck hunting we had this shack back in the marsh off the Mississippi River. It was about 3 miles from the Gulf. Only access was by boat heading generally east ~3 miles from Venice, LA. I think these pics were taken during 1978 and 79. A storm destroyed it in 1980. No power, no water, & all outdoor rest room facilities. It's nothing more than a 8'x20' plywood & 2x4 shack. 2 rooms 8x8 for cooking & 8x12 bunk room with 2 wooden bunk beds. Even I was too tall at 5' 8" to stand up on one side without my head hitting the ceiling. Come a long way since then.
redkneck
I'll have to take some pics of our camp sometime soon. I think Al what you have there is classified as a "lodge" Very nice. I'd post some pics of my uncle's place if I had some. Nice place with elk, muleys, whitetail and just about any other mammal you can imagine inside. gzilla45
This was a cool idea and it is neat to see other camps. I love visiting all of the deer camps in our area. Here are a few pics of our hunting cabin. For some reason I can't find more pics from the inside of it. Must be on my other computer. The pic with the snow in it is of our sauna/bathhouse. Adjam5
This is our camp. Located on 63 acres in NY's southern Catskill Mountains. We have 2 mobile homes on it, but only my house is the "Hunting camp". This is Horn corner. This is what the gun rack looked like on July 4th this year . These are the 2 mobile home we have on the property. The wood stove in my trailer. Better shot of my mobile home/hunt camp. Our field outside my kitchen window. The same field in spring. Our swamp. Always on varmint patrol . Our shed and firewood. The best part about my deer camp is that it is ONLY 62 miles away from my house. So, we are up there just about every weekend. It has been a very special place to my 3 sons growing up. It is where they all got their outdoor wings so to speak. Hows that for a shot? WHISKEYSWAMP
here's my photobucket album of my buddy's and my camp up in the UP, Mi. it use to be an old logging camp until my buddy bought it about 30 years ago. I've been going up for about 15 years and have been part owner for a little over 3 years. most of the addition was done with tear down materials from one of the partners construction company... I was able to get my boss to donate some scrap panels for the roof and siding. Still a lot of work to be done but can only get up there a couple times a year. The old part of camp runs on propane lights and the addition has battery powered lights hooked up to solar panels... hand crank pump for water supply. We also built a new outhouse a couple years ago, as well as a new sauna... ironically our old sauna caught fire while we were building the addition to the cabin... it was due for an update anyway. http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w90/whiskeyswamp/Whiskeyswamp%20Camp/ Edited August 4, 2010 by WHISKEYSWAMP
ruttinbuc
Great collection of some pretty cool camps. I never had the opportunity to belong to a specific camp, but had hunted from a couple over the years. I was a guest at Anthony's camp last winter to tag along ice fishing. Quite the place for sure. A lot of history no doubt.
NS whitetail
This is our hunting camp/summer cottage. This pic was from this past winter when a gang of family and friends went on a four wheeler run.
